We are your turnkey environmental solutions partner – managing risk to help you achieve your business goals. The fast pace of the commercial real estate and investment industry requires rapid financial decisions. To protect against potential litigation and remediation costs associated with environmental issues, financial institutions and corporations require environmental information before making a financial commitment. Due diligence is the investor’s process of investigating the details of a potential investment, such as examining operations and maintenance procedures, and verifying material facts.
Environmental Risk Management and
Air Emmissions
We are your turnkey environmental solutions partner – managing risk to help you achieve your business goals. Air quality is emerging as a significant worldwide issue for the decades ahead. International commitments aimed at dealing with climate change are putting considerable pressure on individual countries and their industrial communities. Local authorities are asking industrial plants, which are potentially responsible for pollution, to engage in regular and accurate monitoring and to cut emissions. For plant owners and operators, the challenge is not only to contribute to the environment through optimizing the production process but also to comply with a growing number of regulatory obligations.
Remediation and
Site Restoration
Confused about your remedial options?
The number of remediation technologies and products in the marketplace today may seem overwhelming, confusing or difficult to evaluate. Our remediation professionals can help you make the right choice by providing our collective experience and diverse remediation expertise to take the guesswork out of your choice. We have demonstrated capabilities designing and implementing turnkey remediation programs at numerous sites nationwide.
Cleaning up contaminated properties can be an enormous and complex undertaking involving multiple consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies. Driven by crucial financial, strategic, and operational objectives, the stakes are often high, and time is always of the essence. Traditionally, the remediation of contaminated properties has only occurred after an organization was compelled to do so. This process has resulted in the cleanup of only a few very contaminated sites and has labeled thousands of other sites possessing only a minor amount of contamination as hazardous waste sites.
The technical requirements for environmental investigations were originally driven by regulatory agency concerns and public fear about exposure to contaminants whose toxicity and occurrence were poorly understood. As knowledge of chemical toxicity, fate, and transport has grown, regulatory agencies have grown more confident in certifying “site closure” and allowing redevelopment of formerly contaminated properties.
Riebdon's professionals assess remedial options thoroughly to select the most cost-effective and efficient solutions for our clients. Bureau Veritas designs and implements turnkey remediation programs at sites nationwide based on site-specific considerations. With industry-leading expertise in cutting-edge technologies, we can often significantly reduce clean-up costs and timeframes.

Climate change is an issue that concerns every country on the planet.
The Kyoto Protocol of 1997 formalized an international commitment to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions. In an effort to address climate change in a practical way, the Clean Development Mechanism (CDM) was developed by the United Nations Framework on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
Besides that, and in order to achieve its own GHG emissions reductions targets, the European Union established the European Union Emissions Trading Scheme (EU ETS) and verification.
The Climate Change Services encompass the following members:
-
Validation and Verification of project activities under the UNFCCC CDM
-
Verification under the European Union Emissions Trading Scheme EU ETS
-
Verification under non Kyoto mechanisms, such as, Gold Standard and Voluntary Carbon Standard (VCS)
-
Verification under local schemes (Australia, South Korea, USA)
-
Verification of GHG emissions inventories according to ISO 14064
