QMS AQMS Lead Auditor Training Course (ISO 9001 AS9100d) 

Five day Lead auditor qualification is designed to equip delegates with the skills and techniques of auditing and how to communicate the findings of the audit effectively to the management of the audited organisation.

Who should attend

 

This course is designed for company staff who have responsibility within a quality management system or will be involved in the auditing of such systems. This course will also benefit those persons who manage quality or purchasing within their organisations and wish to gain maximum benefit from the quality management system audit process. It is recommended that delegates have a working knowledge of the requirements of the applicable standard to which the course is being delivered.

 

Objectives

 

Our ISO 9001 AS9100d  Lead auditor course is designed to train delegates in the principles and practices of undertaking quality management system audits. These are in line with the generic guidelines laid down in ISO 19011 and the requirements of the ISO 9001: 2015 AS9100d standard. Participants will also learn the skills and techniques of auditing and how to communicate the findings of the audit effectively to the management of the audited organisation. On completion of the course, delegates should also understand the principles of accreditation and certification schemes.

 

Course description

 

This course is designed to provide delegates with the knowledge needed to audit and improve quality management systems. The course comprises a mix of lectures and practical exercises including role-play and case studies to provide the delegates with a full understanding of the quality audit process. The practical exercises focus on the audit process using the ISO 9000 AS9100 series of standards.

 

Course content

A five day course containing the following:

  • The 8 quality principles

  • Key elements of quality systems

  • The audit preparation

  • Reporting and follow up

  • Quality Management Systems development

  • Requirements of ISO 9001: 2015 AS9100

  • Auditor skills and techniques for process auditing

  • Examination – closed book

 

Note: Delegates who gain a pass mark in the examination will be

deemed to have met the training requirements for registration as

an Auditor/Lead auditor.

Prior knowledge requirements

Before starting this course delegates are expected to have the following prior knowledge: Knowledge of the following quality management principles and concepts:

  • The Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) cycle

  • The relationship between quality management and customer satisfaction

  • Commonly used quality management terms and definitions and the 8 Quality principles as given in ISO 9001 systems.

  • The process approach used in quality management

  • The model of a process based quality management system, the structure and content of ISO 9001

 

Knowledge of the requirements of ISO 9001, which may be gained by completing an certified QMS AQMS Foundation training course or equivalent.

 

Course duration and structure

This course runs for five days running from 8.30 am until 7.00 pm for the first four days and from 8.30 am until 4.00 pm on the final day. This course may be run in-house for organisations wishing to train a team of auditors. Our courses are held at various locations around the US. All courses can also be run as in-house courses at your premises.
